EITI NATIONAL COMMISSION OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE TO BOOST TRANSPARENCY EFFORTS

The president of the National Commission of the EITI Preparatory Group for Equatorial Guinea (EITI-GE), Antonio OBURU ONDO, has presided over the official launch of the new website of the Institution he directs.

The event took place at the Hotel Colinas, early in the afternoon of this Saturday, November 4, in front of more than a hundred guests, including members of the Government, representatives of the Equatoguinean Civil Society Collective , representatives of companies in the country's extractive sector and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

In his words presenting the website, the President of the National Commission of the EITI Preparatory Group for Equatorial Guinea (EITI-GE), Antonio OBURU ONDO stated that 'this website, www.guineaecuatorial,org, witness of the growth of our Institution, today it must be, on the one hand, a testimony of the journey of the EITI Equatorial Guinea, from its origins and on the other, a disseminator, the echo of this institution to achieve its incursion into those sectors that the EITI itself and society sues'.

During the presentation of the website, several videos of the activities of the Multi-stakeholder Group of the National Commission of the EITI Preparatory Group for Equatorial Guinea (EITI-GE) were shown.

The event ended with an honorary refreshment offered to the guests.
