FUENTE: world oil

Viridian, formerly CGG, announced that its Sensing & Monitoring trading line, marketed under the Sercel brand, sold its innovative alert system and monitoring of Marlin ships to ExxonMobil Guyana Ltd. para respaldar sus operaciones costa afuera en Guyana.

As part of the larger Sercel Marlin software package to optimize operations at high seas, the Marlin boat alert and monitoring system represents a significant advance in operational security at high seas.

The sophisticated system is designed to protect floating production platforms, storage and loading (FPSO) and other activities of high value against a wide range of marine fish, including in the most disturbing marine environments.

Proactive intelligence capabilities and real-time monitoring of the solution provide integral information on the movements of the vehicles, operating parameters and potential risks, which allows operators to make more informed decisions and improve operational security.

Jerome Denigot, vice-president of Viridien's detection and monitoring team, said: “Marcando la culminación del uso de nuestro software y servicios Sercel during varios años por parte de nuestro cliente para optimizar sus projects operativos marinos, este premio del sistema de alerta y monitoreo de Marlin boats recognize the value of our new technical solutions and our new commitment to delivering excellence and innovation in the offshore sector. New software package Marlin offers power operators and other offshore operators the right tools to improve security, efficiency and accumulation of all their operations.
